Mobilize.org has partnered with the Goldhirsh Foundation, MTV, the McCormick Foundation, and ServiceNation: Mission Serve to explore the unique issues facing our returning Millennial veteran population. Mobilize.org will hold a summit in Los Angeles on April 1 - 3, and bring together 100 returning Millennial veterans to use interactive keypad voting technology to debate, discuss and work collaboratively to propose veteran-led, veteran benefited projects in our communities and on our campuses.
Mobilize.org will provide awards totaling $25,000 to the projects that rise to the top during our two days together, through the use of interactive keypad voting technology. Mobilize.org will award these funds to ensure that the winning ideas have the support needed to have a meaningful impact on their community. Additionally, funded projects will become 12-month projects of Mobilize.org, whose partner network and funders are committed to further building their success. If you are a United States military veteran between the ages of 18 and 34 and would like to participate in this exciting and forward-thinking dialogue, apply to be one of the 100 Millennial veterans in attendance at the Democracy 2.0 Summit: Beyond The Welcome Home by February 19th. Space will be limited and all invited participants will be notified via email by March 1st. www.mobilize.org/index.php?tray=content&tid=top396&cid=3IS18
