Stadium Lighting & Artificial Turf - Grant Funding 2010
Good morning - Our school is seeking grant funding for a new artificial turf football field and new stadium lighting. Can you please advise if (and, if so, when) these grants will be re-opening for the 2010-2011 fiscal school year? Any assistance you can provide regarding grant funding for this purpose, or alternative grant/funding sources, would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your assistance.

football lights
Hello,
I am Cameron Kveen and I am writing to you from Carleton MI, a rural community just north of Monroe and the Ohio boarder. I am in the 10th grade and I play wing for the Airport Jets.
Maybe some of you know what it was like playing High School football on Friday night underneath the Stadium Lights. I think it's the best thing ever but Friday night football may be a thing of the past for Airport Community Schools.
You see, late this fall, our stadium lights had to be taken down because of age and structural issues.
The cost to replace the poles and lights will be 180,000. Our district is paying to have all the other field updates done but can't afford the poles and lights and the boosters are trying to come up with the money. We are planning fundraisers but unless we have all the money by July 1st. There is no way the poles and lights can go up in time for the 2010 football season.
I am hoping that you or someone you know can direct us to where we could go to get assistance.
Thank you for your consideration. Respectfully, Cameron Kveen
