Call & Fax Your Members of Congress to Show Support for National Service Legislation

The House Committee on Education & Labor passed the GIVE Act (H.R. 1388), the House companion bill to the Serve America Act (S. 277) with strong bipartisan support. On Tuesday, March 17 the full House will vote on the legislation. Before the vote, your Representatives in the House need to hear from you that this legislation is important.

This is our most urgent and time sensitive need right now. Legislators have relayed to others repeatedly that the more calls and letters they receive, the more they can justify taking a position on an act. So let's show them that the GIVE Act and Serve America Act are two pieces of legislation that they should support. And while form letters are good, legislators have also said that the personal letters with personal stories are the most effective in convincing them and justifying their voting. So if you have an extra 10 minutes, make your letter personal.
